This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit www.reehbeauty.com (the "Website"), shop with us or get in touch, why we need it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to us at support@reehbeauty.com.

The short version

  • We collect only what we need to get your order to you, look after you, and run our store.
  • Payments go through secure, authorised payment partners. We never see or store your full card details, CVV or UPI PIN.
  • We send marketing offers only if you've opted in, and you can opt out at any time.
  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, subject to what the law requires us to keep.

This summary is for convenience. The full policy below is what applies.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to anyone who visits the Website, creates an account, places an order, subscribes to our updates, enters a giveaway, writes a review, or contacts us through email, phone, WhatsApp or social media.

It does not cover third-party websites, apps or platforms that you reach through links on our Website, or the way social media platforms handle your data on their own services. Those are governed by their own policies.

2. The laws we follow

We handle personal data in line with Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000; the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011; the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020; and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 together with the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, as they come into force.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), Seen Beauty Private Limited is the Data Fiduciary for your personal data, and you are the Data Principal.

3. What we collect

You can browse most of the Website without telling us who you are. We only learn your identity when you choose to share it, for example by creating an account, placing an order or contacting us.

3.1 Information you give us

  • Contact and identity details: your name, email address and mobile number.
  • Order details: shipping and billing address, PIN code, the products you buy, and your order and return history.
  • Account details: your login email or phone number. Passwords are stored in encrypted form by our e-commerce platform and are not visible to us.
  • Your messages to us: anything you send to customer care, reviews and ratings, survey or quiz answers, and photos or content you share with us or tag us in (we will ask before reposting).
  • Details about other people: if you send an order as a gift or ship to someone else, we collect the recipient's name, address and phone number. By sharing them, you confirm that the person is aware of it and that the details are accurate.
  • Optional details: your date of birth (for birthday offers) and shade or product preferences, only if you choose to share them.
  • Product concerns: if you tell us about a reaction or problem with a product, we record the details you share, which may include information about your skin or health. We use this only to resolve your concern and meet our product safety obligations, never for marketing.

Required fields are marked. You can skip any optional field, though some features may not work without certain information (for example, we can't deliver an order without an address).

3.2 Payment information

Payments are processed by authorised payment gateways such as Razorpay. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net banking credentials. We receive only what we need to confirm and reconcile your payment, such as a transaction reference, the payment method type and its status.

3.3 Information collected automatically

When you use the Website, we and our service providers automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent on pages, the site that referred you, approximate location (derived from your IP address), and actions such as adding items to your cart. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, explained in Section 6.

3.4 Information from other sources

We may receive information about you from:

  • delivery partners (delivery status, address corrections, proof of delivery);
  • payment partners (payment confirmation and fraud-risk signals);
  • people who contact us about you, such as a gift sender or someone raising a concern about an order or review linked to you; and
  • advertising and social media platforms such as Meta and Google (for example, that you clicked one of our ads, or aggregated campaign performance).

5. Consent and how to withdraw it

Where we rely on your consent, we ask for it through a clear action, such as ticking a box, clicking "subscribe" or accepting cookies on our banner. Marketing opt-in boxes are never pre-ticked.

Some processing doesn't require separate consent because the law allows it, for example where you voluntarily share information for a specific purpose such as placing an order, or where we must process data to comply with the law.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, and it will be as easy as giving it:

  • click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email;
  • reply STOP to marketing SMS or WhatsApp messages;
  • change your cookie choices through the cookie settings link on the Website; or
  • email us at support@reehbeauty.com.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before you withdrew it. We will also continue to send messages needed to complete an order you've already placed, and to keep records the law requires us to keep.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help a website remember information about your visit. Some are session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser; others are persistent cookies, which stay on your device for a set period so the Website can recognise you on your next visit. We use:

  • Essential cookies, which keep your cart, checkout and login working. These can't be switched off.
  • Preference cookies, which remember choices such as your region.
  • Analytics cookies, which help us understand how visitors use the Website (for example, Shopify Analytics and Google Analytics).
  • Marketing cookies and pixels, which help us measure our ads and show relevant ones (for example, Meta Pixel and Google Ads).

Analytics and marketing cookies are used only if you accept them through our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link, or manage cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the Website, including checkout, from working.

7. Who we share your information with

We share personal data only to the extent needed for the purposes in Section 4, with:

  • Our e-commerce platform: Shopify, which hosts our store and processes order data.
  • Payment gateways: Razorpay and other authorised payment partners.
  • Logistics partners: Courier companies that deliver your order, who receive your name, address, phone number and order details.
  • Communication providers: the tools we use to send order updates, emails, SMS and WhatsApp messages.
  • Analytics and advertising partners: such as Google and Meta, subject to your cookie choices.
  • Professional advisers: our chartered accountants, auditors and legal advisers, under duties of confidentiality.
  • Government and regulatory authorities: where we are legally required to disclose information, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
  • A successor business: if Seen Beauty Private Limited is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the new owner, who will be required to protect it in line with this policy.

Our service providers act as Data Processors. We require them to process your data only on our instructions, keep it secure and confidential, and not use it for their own purposes. Where you deal with a partner directly (for example, when entering payment details on Razorpay's secure page), that partner's own privacy policy also applies.

8. Data stored outside India

Some of our service providers, such as Shopify, Google and Meta, may store or process data on servers located outside India. Any such transfer is made in accordance with the DPDP Act and any restrictions notified by the Government of India, and we choose providers that maintain recognised security standards.

9. How long we keep your information

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as long as the law requires:

  • Account information: while your account is active. If your account stays inactive for [3 years], we may delete it after letting you know.
  • Order and invoice records: for the periods required under tax and company law (generally up to eight years).
  • Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
  • Customer care conversations: for [2 years] after your query is resolved.
  • Product concern reports: for as long as needed to meet product safety and regulatory obligations.
  • Analytics data: according to the retention settings of each tool, currently [14 months].
  • Processing logs: for at least one year, as required under the DPDP Rules, 2025.

When data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it so it can no longer identify you.

10. Your rights

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you, how we process it, and who we have shared it with;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data, and update your details;
  • Erase your data where it is no longer needed, except where we must keep it by law;
  • Withdraw consent for any processing that is based on consent;

To make a request, email support@reehbeauty.com with the subject line "Data Request", from the email address or phone number linked to your orders or account. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request. We will respond within [30 days].

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your grievance, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

11. How we keep your data safe

We use reasonable security practices to protect your personal data, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections across the Website, access limited to people who need to do their job, strong passwords and two-factor authentication on our admin accounts, PCI-DSS compliant payment partners, and regular review of who has access to what.

No method of storing or transmitting data online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your account password private and let us know straight away if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.

If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law, explaining what happened, the likely impact, what we are doing about it, and what you can do to protect yourself.

12. Children

Our Website and products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not create an account or place an order yourself; a parent or legal guardian may do so on your behalf. If we learn that we have collected a minor's personal data without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it.

13. Links to other websites

The Website may link to third-party websites and platforms, including our social media pages. If you click through, their privacy policies apply, not ours. Social media buttons on our Website may allow those platforms to link your visit to your profile if you are logged in to them.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law or in how we operate. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. If we make a significant change, we will let you know by email or through a notice on the Website before it takes effect.
